The Problem
Yakima Chef, Deep South Brewing, Moo Brew and Great Southern Reef needed a campaign to launch their collaboration beer in a way that genuinely reflected the story behind the product: a brew inspired by the coastline, community, and culture surrounding one of Australia’s most important marine ecosystems. The challenge was to create launch content that could cut through noise, spark thought, and communicate authenticity; something that looked premium enough for a hero campaign, but human and grounded enough to resonate with real beer drinkers. They required a product video that celebrated both the craftsmanship of the beer and the purpose behind it, while delivering strong visual assets that would perform across social, digital, and launch touchpoints.
The Solution
To bring the Great Southern Reef beer launch to life, we created a story-driven video centered on the people and purpose behind the product. We focused on authenticity, conducting interviews with the businesses involved in the collaboration, exploring their connection to the ocean, the inspiration behind the brew, and the shared mission to celebrate and protect the Great Southern Reef. We captured key moments of the brewing process and paired them with lifestyle footage of the finished product, crafting a narrative that felt personal, grounded, and true to the coastal culture that shaped the beer. Alongside the hero story video, we delivered four short-form social media edits designed to boost engagement and drive conversions to the GSRF website, ensuring the launch had both depth and reach across campaign channels.
